That 2014 will be concluded as a successful year at the Belgian specialist has already been established. This year RoboJob booked the highest number of orders so far. This was partly achieved by a Belgian and a Dutch customer, each purchasing their fifth system.
“It's obviously a nice coincidence that it involves a Belgian and a Dutch customer”, beams co-founder and manager Helmut De Roovere. "Our Belgian client is ’Metaalconstructie Vanderscheuren’ from Diksmuide”, De Roovere explains. “They are a typical supplier, which besides turning and milling work, also offers welding, laser work, pyrography, cutting and assembly. Our Dutch customer also has very similar activities."
Johan Gryson is responsible for the technical service within Vanderscheuren, and testifies to the choice of Vanderscheuren for RoboJob: “Of course it’s no coincidence that we have chosen for RoboJob. This decision was however, reinforced by the increasing competition from outside. In order to be competitive in the labour market, in 2012 following a detailed market study, we chose to install two RoboJob Turn-Assists on two Gildemeister lathes. Since then we have been able to experience how easy it is for each operator to work with the RoboJob system. Our customers are also noticing this due to our tight delivery times and the quality of our products. In addition,” Gryson explains, "the Turn-Assist is so compact that we meet with absolutely no hindrance. The open configuration of RoboJob allows us to maintain a good overview of our workshop at any time."
“It therefore goes without saying that we have again chosen RoboJob this year. The relationship is very good, and after our first two years’ experience with the system we have been able notice that it’s a very sound solution: the five-Turn-Assists that we currently have, will still be able to work in the business for years because they are so robust and qualitatively built. And it is so accurate that we have decided to further automate 3 other machines. The fact is the Turn-Assist reduces the number of errors as well as reducing our operating time. Flexibility has been given a huge boost in our company, and because every operator likes to work with it, the atmosphere here is optimal,” concludes Gryson.
"I needn’t tell you that such orders give an entire boost to every employee within RoboJob," says Helmut De Roovere. "This is what we do it all for: when a customer tells us that we have a good product, and that he is so pleased with it that he places a fifth order, that of course is he best compliment you can receive. And that compliment is true both for the seller, for the people in our production, and our installation teams, who beat long hours to get things to work.”
"In both cases it relates to the purchase of our Turn-Assist Series," explains De Roovere. "The Turn-Assistis still by far our most successful product, although the Mill-Assist Essential has been making rapid advances in recent months. At our customers, we notice that the need is definitely there for automating both the loading of turning and milling pieces but axes also have to be loaded. That’s why we have developed the axes extension for the Turn-Assist. Of course we are continuing to work on upgrades and innovations that we can also offer to our customers next year.”
This year several partner agreements were signed with partners in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, there are still some new partners also at the point of being certified, after which an agreement can be signed with them.
"It feels good that we have been able to cover such a beautiful route this year, but we are continuing to set the bar high and will certainly not be complacent. It is up to us to prove that we are worthy of the trust of our customers and our partners. The customer is right when he expects outstanding quality and service, and we owe it to them to respond to these. That's why we keep working at full speed and why we are investing in further developments and in improvements in the training and certification of our partners. It shouldn’t matter where in the world our system is installed, the customer should always receive top quality. Both in respect of the product, as well as with regard to the installation, training and support”, concludes De Roovere.
